Join the Zowe Community in the next Quarterly Planning Meeting

By | April 19, 2023

Zowe, the integrated and extensible open source framework for z/OS, combines the past and present to build the future of mainframes. Like Mac OS, Windows, and others, Zowe comes with a core set of applications out of the box in combination with the APIs and OS capabilities future applications will depend on.

Launched in 2018 under the Open Mainframe Project umbrella, Zowe offers modern interfaces to interact with z/OS and allows you to work with z/OS in a way that is similar to what you experience on cloud platforms today. You can use these interfaces as delivered or through plug-ins and extensions that are created by clients or third-party vendors.

Whether you are a contributor, vendor, or user, Zowe invites you to join their Quarter 2 Planning meeting on Wednesday, April 26 – Friday, April 28. During the planning sessions, you’ll receive updates and milestones from the Zowe Advisory Council (ZAC), the Technical Steering Committee (TSC) and each of the focused squads including Documentation, API ML, Zowe CLI, Systems, WebUI, Onboarding, Zowe Explorer and the Incubating projects such as Zebra, Chat, IntelliJ and zOS. The meeting will also offer an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and perspectives on Zowe or ask questions to key leaders of the project.

Zowe Q2 Planning Schedule:

  • Wednesday, April 26 – Opening (Day 1)
  • Thursday, April 27 – Breakouts (Optional) (Day 2)
  • Friday, April 28 – Final Readouts (Day 3)
